My Family and Background
My name is Bradley Moore, and I’m a candidate for Chesapeake School Board. I’m a Hampton Roads native, born and raised in Norfolk, and a product of Norfolk Public Schools. My wife, Kaydee, and I decided to settle down and raise a family in her hometown of Historic South Norfolk, which is where we’ve been raising our two daughters, Taylor and Olivia, for the past 15 years. I was educated here locally. I began my post-secondary education at Tidewater Community College’s Chesapeake Campus, then transferred to Old Dominion University, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History with a minor in Children’s Rights and a Master’s Degree in History.

“We’re here to help our Citizen-Students learn to build ‘Greater Bridges’, not set them on a path to toil in our City’s ‘Great Dismal Ditches’.”

Although I am planning on running in a local election to support my community, I firmly believe that certain institutions, namely our public education system, can and should remain free from the trappings of partisan politics. If there are any aspects of my personal or professional background that may be of interest to members of my community that I have yet to meet in person, then I welcome any questions or concerns and can be reached most quickly by email or direct messaging on Facebook. My “digital” door is (usually) always open.
I may be able to tell my friends where we have been as a City, but I am asking my fellow Citizens to help build a brighter future for the Citizen-Students of Chesapeake Public Schools. We’re on this road together, you tell me where you want to go. I want to run WITH my community, not speak FOR others.
